What is Undead Threadery?

What is the sound of one hand clapping upside a Trolls head? If a Troll is zotted in the forest, does it still make a sound? How many Trolls can be impaled on the head of a pin?

Does a thread like this really require a point?

Oh yeah... I think NickNamedBob posts a run down of our various adventures and follies. It's a long read, but feel free to just jump right in. The waters fine and the sharks are confined to the moat. ;-)

About 15 months ago, a really dumb Donk (democrat) made a FABULOUSLY stupid post on FR.

This "troll" (aka: Moby, DUmmy, asshat leftist puke) was promptly set upon and torn asunder by the Doughty Warriors of the VKS (Viking Kitty Society).

At some point, the troll was ZOT!ted (exterminated, kicked off FR, account banned) by one of the Almighty Mods (be VERY afraid!). At that point, that thread officially became a "ZOT!" thread.

Now, trolls "catch the ZOT!" here on FR many times per day.

Most of the time, their threads or posts are deleted when their user accounts are nuked. However, for a variety of reasons, sometimes the Almighty Mods deign to allow us to wreak havok on the thread. Usually the fun continues for not longer than 24 hours - usually far, far less.

However, on that one particular thread, the stomping went on and on... and on... and ON...

Part of the initial longevity stems from the concurrent but unrelated thread posted by a FReeper named "al baby", in which two of the first True Freeperisms were coined: "stune" and "beeber"

Throw in the efforts of many of the keenest wits and funniest wags on the site, and the thread kept on growing.

I came rather late to the party, though as of right now I don't know where exactly that was or who dragged me in, dammit...

The first real indication of Undeadhood comes at Conspiracy Guy's post#859, I believe...

well, anyway, someone at some point got the wild notion of rolling the thread until it blew out the server's per-thread post limit (65,535 posts), and the Beast That Can't Be Killed was born.

The RKBA was brought into being somewhere in the low 3000's IIRC...
