Going was the pits...from the time I left my apartment to the time I got to Las Vegas was 16 hours. However, the drive back was almost exactly eight hours, stops included.
My daughter and son-in-law took me to the MGM to the Rain Forest Cafe, and I had some awesome baby back ribs. I don't usually like ribs unless I do them myself because they either burn my mouth or taste like ketchup.
I really enjoyed the drive back, though I had to fight the wind every mile of the way. I think I picked the windiest day of the years...wonder what my mileage would have been if the wind had been calm...(she ponders)
