Frogs sing, not sting.
Every spring we can hear the "frog chorus" from the neighbor's pond down the road from us. It's one of the most reliable signs of spring.

They were eating my roses.
So they were destroyed by buggy wrath.

Serious. Northern Anoka county has a lot of marshland, lakes, ponds, rivers, and streams. One year we had a frong migration the likes of which few people have ever seen. Some county roads were closed down due to slipery road conditions from squished frogs.

the 1022 is a highly reliable weapon
age of modern ammo shouldn't matter
dismount the stock and make sure the two capscrews securing the barrel to the frame are tight. Apply a light dose of Lok-Tite to each if you wish. Remount stock, making sure the bottom screw is secure and the barrel-stock "hoop" is solidly placed and tightened down.
then try the weapon out again.
I assume that the weapon is well cleaned and only very lightly oiled, yes?

How do you get the dust under the leaves?
I get mildew on my roses every year, but I live near the water, so that may be it.

Frog's legs are pretty tasty.
I didn't realize until recently that one shouldn't eat toads.
