Herein lies the problem. For some reason, a great many people in Louisiana have assumed that politics as usual, with attendant corruption, is just the way things are.

Maybe this hurricane mess will get a few more of your voters to see the light.

I don't know how else you can get things right. The Landrieu family alone accounts for a big chunk of the problem.

La was a one party state untl relatively recently. It is a very poor state and has a big black population. Corruption is like in a third world country.

Hard to change. Plus, and this is difficult, everyone benefits from the corruption in one way or another, small and large. It is embedded in the every day life of people.
