Was the information actually wrong, or just contradict Nagin so he thinks it is wrong?
Last I heard from Nagin till your report just now was when he was fighting with the admin about when to re-populate NO. If Nagin had his way that entire area would have been full of people again when RITA hit and the levies quick patches couldn't hold it.
I don't blame people not wanting to go back. Between Blanco, Nagin, Vitter, Jindal..you have to fear for your life if you entrust it to these people. They elected them, but I'm starting to feel some sympathy. I'm having a hard time finding any competant people in LA they had as a choice to elect instead.
If there are any competant natural leaders in public office -R or D- we would have seen them emerge by now.
I never figured out whether Nagin was mad because the information was incorrect...or because it came from someone other than himself...
He seemed to act like it was incorrect, but I didn't hear what exactly the other person said that was wrong.
I will say one thing...looking at that Accuweather map that Howlin just put up----if I were him, I would tell everyone to just sit back and not even think of coming back until at least next weekend.---but then again, I have common sense.
