We are praising God for no loss of life and none of our camper rigs or clubhouse sustained damage. We do have limbs down all over the park and we lost power Sat. at 1 p.m. and endured a very hot day today. Power just restored at midnight. Willis was a madhouse today as they sent traffic from Hwy 59 over to I-45. Hope there is gasoline tomorrow.
So happy the storm weakened and thank God for that because the media had everyone panicked. I'm proud of our state and local leaders and it is good that they learned the weak areas of evacuation plans so they can do better next time like have gasoline at evacuation routes.
One young gal trying to get to OK pulled in to our park out of gas and we put her and her dog up at the clubhouse but her kitty had gotten loose and we couldn't find her anywhere. Last night her dad and boyfriend arrived with tons of gas and they camped at the site where she had parked and sure enough the cat came walking up so they left this morning for Ok. Her dad was so grateful that his daughter was taken care of.
Now that power is back we should get some RVs rolling in tomorrow to compsnsate for the rally that had to cancel this weekend. We have plenty of space at Omega Farms so come on down.
What a great story. You must have been a real blessing for that young woman.
