I was afraid you were going to run into HIPPA problems. That's why I recommended talking with Director of Nurses. Another thing you can do is not ask if she is there but ask to be transfered to MRs.xxxxxxx's room.

I tried the please transfer me to her room bit with them, but they go as far as to say if you do not have a room number they will give the patient a message to call you, but will not transfer you to a room.

Thing is with her at least as of the last time we spoke to her nurse at St. Elizabeth's she was still on oxygen and unable to speak.

HIPPA does not preclude a hospital from telling someone, especially a relative, if the person is in the hospital. It does preclude them from divulging direct medical information. You'd think in a time like this they would be a bit more willing to help those of us looking for our relatives.

Btw, the director of nursing at Hollyhill will not be on the phone, you're transfered to her voice mail to leave a message. She's yet to call me back.
