WHY DIDN'T GEORGE BUSH, OUR PRESIDENT EVER SAY ANYTHING PUBLICLY ABOUT THIS?

Wasn't he the guy who would have renewed the assault weapons ban? On a cynical note, it doesn't help to build his legacy in more "blue" states. Natural rights don't play well there. W is still playing his hand. The game aint over, even though he's a lame duck.

He has disappointed me too much of late.

not that he cares...lol...he is reminding me more of his dad who I was more ambivalent about.

not to say I dislike the man, it's just something ...

Bush knew damn well the gun ban renewal would never get through Congress again as it did when 'rats' had leverage--he played it close to his vest and made the remark so the 'rats' and their screaming backers would shut up while the deliberations in Congess were going on--proof is that the ban died (sunsetted)? and is long gone-
