Conservatives who want to cut spending are going to be voting for Democrats who want to increase spending even more ?

Hardly likely. Only if in the general election there's a 3rd party conservative running will the Republicans be in trouble from their base.

Yes, but we saw how close the last election was. What if they gave an election...and all the conservatives stayed home? This is a real big issue in my mind; unmotivated, disgusted voters who just say "to h*ll with it." Im not talking about freepers, Im talking about the general public. People are really POed right now about some of this stuff. I like Bush, but he needs to get his hand on the throttle and tell the congress that offsets need to be made MANDATORY now.

National Review puts great sock in John McCain. Rush thinks McCain's a tool waiting for a use...sort of like that strange screwdriver in your grandfather's tool box that nobody would tell you about.

I vote Rush.

"..going to be voting for Democrats.."

I didn't mean that, of course it is unlikely.

Rather like the so-called "swing voters", of which there must be literally hundreds across the country. After the MSM pounds the hurricane story for all it's worth, who knows what might happen?
