Levee broke. It was built to hold 7 feet of water and it is now 7 1/2 feet.

What's with NewO reflooding? The levees were fragile as it was. Plus it's raining and, apparently -- although there is no definitive word yet on what kind -- at least one damaged levy has been breeched (over the top as some are saying). There was also a report of "seepage" at a levy yesterday. But all of this cannot be do to just rain. The surge from Rita must be closer and higher for NO than they can handle. Word was that 3 inches of rain was all the levees could handle and, obviously, we've surpassed that much already.
