My cocker spaniel did that to me, too. Starting sitting on my lap, again, even. It was like a month before the first storm hit. She didn't get back to normal til after the last. Funny, but 2 days ago she started the same thing. I don't know if anything is following after Rita, but...

I just came in from walking the dog, probably the last daylight excursion for today.
It is spooky quiet out there. The Big City with no background noise.
The wind is gusting good ~35 - 40 mph. There is no rain here yet, so when I faced the north wind I got a hit with the dust and grit being swept down the street.
I brought the flag in.

Joe Bastardi says that the next major storm will start up big time next week, just south of Cuba. With such a location, that means it has a shot of hitting the Gulf again... The question is, how much heat did Rita suck up?
