"Did you know admiral Schaeffer (I think thats his name) one of the men scheduled to testify lost his security clearance due to a $67 cell phone bill?"
Tis late in the thread, and you need not respond. But Shaffer was an Army Colonel. During his time as operational liason officer between the DoD (departiment of defense) and the Able Danger team who worked for DIA (Defense Intellegience Agency) a department under the DoD, he was a major in the US Army.
Doesn't surprise me the least. After holding a TS/EBI clearance - which is worth a lot of moolah to people willing to sell their sell - and leaving that whole world, I must say I have nothing but disgust for these self-important pinheads that smirk to themselves about all the stuff they know, that the lowly unwashed don't. A colleague of mine had his clearance suspended because of a Macy's bill, in his wife's name, that was a few days late. I wasn't willing to work in a work world of such rank stupidity. I've seen very secret things that I was working on blown by some idiot general in the Pentagon via an Aviation Week & Space Technology interview. And I see Sandy Berger committing a CAPITAL offense in the "black" world...and he skates.
These people have no sense of balance, proportion or consistency. Screw'em. Blow the top off Able Danger, let the cockroaches scurry, and let the 'Rats hang.
Not only was it a $67 phone bill but it wasa $400,000 investigation into the phone bill.
Our tax dollars at work.
