I would point out that no one blames the weather forecaster for being wrong even with the latest Doppler Radar.
Some elements of war can be predicted but what about when the enemy does something your sophisticated simulation doesn't account for? Never send a microchip to do a man's job, look at the BCS after all....
Predictive tools are always suspect. To predict the weather, one can wet one's finger and stick it in the air or, alternately, use Doppler. both are predictive and both have a degree of accuracy, but neither seems to be realiable.
However, Dupuy appears to enter real-life data in his platform and, judging by this article, has a pretty good predictive tool. I'd be very interested in the Vietnam analysis, as this appears to be the direction conflicts are taking.
