"Having an affair simply doesn't carry the social stigma that it once did."

"Therein lies the problem. The left works hard to end the shame associated with any number of issues for that very reason. I say we should embrace disgrace!"

Agree. Recall: Only a generation or two ago, it was OUTRAGEOUS for a woman to have a child out of wedlock--she was shamed, her child was a bastard. Barely 25 years later... being a "single mom" is now a lifestyle choice. All because the Left has relentlessly defined morality down.

You can't have it both ways....if you're pro-life (which if you're talking about morality, you in theory should be) you can't slam single mom's. Many including myself, made a decision in a moment, that in all honesty was absolutely sinful, and outside of what God had intended. However that decision resulted in not only a life long consequence, but is now a wonderful blessing and a gift from God. I'd much rather have my consequence then a deadly disease that some people get. Threads like these are like a knife. My "lifestyle choice" as you put it, is a very public consequence. Your thought life or any other 'secret sin' isn't so public (isn't that great, that not all sins have public consequences? :) ). I have to say too, that I might punch someone who ever called my child anything than an amazing creation of God. I'm so grateful for the Grace of God, and that when He looks at me, he doesn't see the yucky sin, or a lifestyle choice, he sees me redeemed. That's what the point should be - not repeating the sin that was forgiven at so great a price. As well as training this gift up in the way of the Lord. (I don't know maybe I can somehow pray harder than my mom did, although I doubt it.)
