I went out around 4:00pm today and put 30 gallons of gas ($2.60 gal) into my 55 gallon Y2K gas tank and there was a guy there saying he was on his way to Houston to pick up his elderly mother. I asked him if he was kidding, he said no. He hasn't the slightest idea what is going on in and around Houston...it's an 8 hour drive to Houston even under good conditions.
Did you try to explain to him? For a moment there, I thought your story was going to end with you giving him your 55 gallons of gasoline...
I topped off my tank, and stocked up an additional 15 gal. this afternoon. I felt like I was stealing cookies from the cookie jar.
