I cannot believe that people are going crazy at the grocery stores up here in the Metroplex.

It seems highly unlikely that we will have power or water shortages.

OTOH, I have filled up both cars in the last two days.

For what it's worth, Fox showed it as a Cat 1 as far north as Dallas. I have seen strong tropical storms reach as far north as Birmingham, 250 miles north of the Gulf.
