I like your home page. Serious.
Thank you, sir.
Made me look!
"I am a computer technophile. I've been conversing electronically in fora much like this for over twenty years. I first had a CompuServe account in 1981. I then graduated to BBSes, and then to Usenet, and now that web-based message boards are popular, I live here. I have used many operating systems, from VMS to OS/2 to Unix, Windows to Macintosh. However, right now my favorite software is Linux. I don't hate Microsoft. I am not a rabid Linux adcovate, and I am willing to discuss pros and cons regarding Linux in particular and unix in general. If you hate Linux, at least try to make sense."
Nice to see an oldster. I am also an oldster, but not a tech person, by any stretch! I learned on the job. Techs taught me. My first forway was a link-up to my company's hookup to the University of MN's computer/internet. We had telephone lines all over the floor, LOL!
Just a question, Sundog. What browser do you use? I've had a problem, or two or three with most of them.
Right this moment, I'm using two - Opera and IE. I used to love Netscape, all in one. Blue screen errors recently with 8.0. I just recently un-installed it. I 'grew up' with Netscape, though, and would like to have it again. I had a Mozilla error with it, though and that seemed to hose up more than a few things for me.
It REALLY seems to me, though, that most problems started when I downloaded Windows Service Pack2. It wasn't meant to upgrade those of us who have Windows XP Pro! Grr!
IE errors have always been a headache. But lessen when I do an Ad-Aware scan.
