To: Uncle Joe Cannon

I watched that press conference. Bush clearly was agitated; he snapped at a couple of reporters, and I don't blame him. Why should he have to suffer such fools?

Because "W" has shown a willingness to suffer them for too long. That's why some in this thread are pleased he has spoken out and others are exasperated that he has finally spoken, but the damage has been done. I hope not for the upcomming elections.

normally a president should not have to. but he has been so poorly served by the white house political and communications apparatus, that this is what it comes to sometimes.

while he's at it - I recommend to him that he re-assign Scott McClellan to pumping duties in new orleans.
