Steele helped Bob Ehrlich get elected Governor. The ticket garnered over 30% of the black vote in Maryland, an alltime high for a GOP ticket. Democrats cannot win statewide in Maryland without a heavy black turnout. So they are scared witless by Steele running for the Senate and the GOP picking up this once-solid seat. Not to mention the fact that if Steele is elected, he will make their precious Barack Obama not so special anymore.
They should investiagte Schumer's wife who runs NY's DOT. They are all corrupt here in NY.
Steele could be Presidential material someday, IMHO.
