Revenues have increased as a result of the tax cuts. This issue isn't even debatable any more. Maybe there are reasons beyond increased revenue for tax increases. (Like socialistic income redistribution maybe?)

Hmmm, I wonder why businesses are flocking to locate oin ireland, compared to the rest of Europe?

he also forgets to point out that as you raise taxes, people will tend to donate less. much more money will goto relief efforts if people give freely, than if they are forced to give thru taxes.
i believe the founders of our nation believed that, and saw much success thru this method.

I like the idea of starting recovery Enterprise Zones. Give employers massive tax breaks if they hire American citizens to do one of two things.

1) Rebuild housing or infrastructure within 100 miles of where either Katrina or Rita crossed the shore.

2) Build or work in new refineries to secure our supply of gasoline against future price shocks due to 'acts of God' such as these two major hurricanes.
