CANBERRA (Reuters) - Rising world temperatures could cause a significant increase in disease across Asia and Pacific Island nations, leading to conflict and leaving hundreds of millions of people displaced, a new report said on Thursday.
Global warming by the year 2100 could also lead to more droughts, floods and typhoons, and increase the incidence of malaria, dengue fever and cholera, the report into the health impact of rising temperatures found.
Global warming gives me gas! :)
Oh wait it is my gas the contributes to global warming.
I can live with that.
You ever notice how the date for the 'disasters' seemed to be pushed up?
Especially everytime the previous 'predictions' never come true!
OMG!!!!! We're DOOOOOOOOOOOMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Rising world temperatures could cause a significant increase in disease across Asia and Pacific Island nations, leading to conflict and leaving hundreds of millions of people displaced.........."
...or not.
By the year 2100 we could be in an ice age. These clowns dont know any more about it than I do./ Tell you what, if I am around in 2100 and its all that hot I will apologise for calling them clowns.
Women and minorities to be hit hardest.
Isn't there anyway to turn the sun down? Perhaps a scaled down version of nuclear winter?
Detective Oscar Grace -- "Body Heat"
I was a kid in the seventies. I remember hearing...'that by the year 2000.....the ice shelves were gonna melt, we would have no more gas, it would be 135 out on a normal summer day, there would be a nuclear war (as predicted by Nostrodamus), and that everyone would be buying AMWAY (instead of going to Safeway)'. It's all a bunch of crap. Every last word of it. Weight loss ads have more integrity! No one knows anything. They are all just fighting over political leverage, money, and ways to get political leverage and money. I stopped paying attention when I woke up January 1st, 2000.
I thought they were all going to be dead of AIDS by 2100?
