I have an older sister and an older brother, both in their sixties, who lost their homes in Katrina. Thankfully we have a big family and folks who can help them rebuild. The first time I talked to my sister, a week after the storm, when the phones FINALLY came back on line, she said "You know those people who don't have a pot to pee in or a window to throw it out of? Well I'm one of them now. I was amazed she was taking it so well, but like she said, it can't be helped so she just had to deal with it. She said she never thought she'd be looking a house plans in her 60's!
God Bless em!

You are famous! I rec'd an email this morning from Birgit in Washington entitled "Greatest story ever written." It was yours! Birgit got it from Diane, who got it from Jobe who got it from a "reired friend and firefighter." I'm a Joisey gal living in CA and I'm about to post it to theprimespot.com Keep writing and if you ever track down Anna, I'd love to play her singing this song on my radio show. These storms have affected many people, our Mayor's receptionist here in Long Beach lost THIRTEEN relatives! KaRi
