This statement says it all :

Books are now being published by homosexual scientists about "gay" animals in "all species." Activists actually use this as a prime talking point in debates on same-sex "marriage." Conveniently, they decline to derive lessons for humans from other animal behaviors, such as incest, cannibalism and, well, the Law of the Jungle.

Homosexual Agenda Ping.

There was another article about this penguin thing that I never got around to pinging out. The argument that "animals do it so we should" is so specious (I think that's the word) that the only people who believe it do so because they want to believe it. Rational people know animals also often eat their young, have sexual relations with their mother, father, children, siblings and so on, never wear clothes, cook or grow food, sometimes eat excrement and other vile substances, never bathe, kill each other over trifles, and so on. So if we want to say being "gay" is fine because (some) animals do it, there's no reason not do follow their fine example in other behaviors.

Another point is that maybe animals in zoos act differently than in their natural habitant, hmmm?? People in jail act differently than when free. Personally I don't like zoos unless the animals have huge areas to roam. It's like putting them in jail.

Freepmail me AND DirtyHarryY2K if you want on/off this pinglist.

J

I wonder how these gay activists explain why horny little dogs find love from a human leg?

There's no such thing as a "gay animal".
Animal mating is based primarily on emitted odors.
Cows in estrus will often mount other cows if no bull is present.
They aren't "gay".
Dogs mount one another as a dominance display.
If one of your female dogs mounts another often, it's a good idea to have her checked for metritus.
It's a uterine infection that is deadly and also causes the affected dog to smell like she's in heat.

We knew a guy whose dog humped *everything*.
Other dogs of any sex, legs, furniture, fences...whatever.
The idiot was "proud" of his dog's "virility" when in reality the poor dog was suffering from a severe urinary tract infection which caused discomfort that mimicked "lust".

I've never understood the queer compulsion to justify themselves by the actions of innocent, instinctive animal actions.

Lots of animals eat crap...does that mean coprophagia is a *good* thing, too?

And still, they rated a children's book, "And Tango Makes Three," which schools are supposed to give to kids to persuade them that you don't need a mom and a dad.

Does the book talk about trying to hatch a rock? Maybe its trying to convince children that they're the same as rocks.

(working wiht the logic of this article....)

ok.. so if something is done in the animal kingdom, then there should be no laws against it in human society. Skipping over civilized-man comments and obvious statements about logic, reasoning, morality, and supposed enlightened behavior... let's go with this for a second...

in the animal kingdom, if a member of the 'society' gets out of line, or upsets the head of the pack... they get killed. ok, sounds good. so... what percentage of the population is homosexual? (ans: 1.8%) therefore, they have stepped out of line from the rest of the pack.. and are causing problems the pack just does not like.

so... just let me know when its ok to start applying our 'new' and 'more fundamental' laws so we can clean up this mess and get back to the regularly scheduled programming.

oh yea... and the pack has had enough of roy and silo too. toss them in the cuisinart and be done with it.

That [anyone] would rely upon animals to 'teach humans' anything betrays its fundamental lack of any moorings, or for that matter, of much in the way of common sense. To see this, let us first remember what animals do.

Animals, among other 'criminal' activities:

None of these activities inform how we regard cannibalism, murder, gang rape, marriage, the rightful place of the sexes, or incest. What happens in the animal kingdom is irrelevant to what occurs in the human realm.
...
Humans are different from animals in countless ways. Humans speak, write, have a sense of personal history and the history of their culture (and often of other cultures as well). They think about and plan for the future, have theories about what makes the world tick (e.g., believe in God, Evolution, or alien visitors), and devise schemes of how the world 'should be' (e.g., have legal systems and cultural ideals 'everyone is equal', only a man and a woman can be married,' etc.).

...
Humans also change the world in innumerable ways (build roads, buildings, bridges, tunnels), and manipulate the earth for food and entertainment (e.g., horticulture, husbandry, planetary exploration). Animals, as near as we can determine, do none of these things. Even when they 'use tools' (like sticks or rocks), animals display only rudimentary skill at the enterprise. Source
...

If we arbitrarily pick which animal behaviors to value, then any such study from which we get insights for human behavior is a complete waste of time.

It's a short and sweet way to completely dismantle the "animals do it" argument.

There isn't one word they can say after that.

Crickets and all that.

(And I bet crickets DON'T do it!)
