George W. Bush has more than three years left in office to implement this strategy. Let his enemies relax in the dubious assumption that they have him on the ropes. That belief has betrayed them many times in the past.It is his conservative allies who need to pay close attention, and understand that he knows and understands strategy in a way no other president ever has.

President Bush's tax policies have always been claimed to spur economic growth, why should this situation be different?
President Bush's true test is on October 15th. If Iraq can pass its constitution foreign investment into Iraq and America will sky rocket!

Enemies and allies alike are once again failing to understand that a highly-trained strategist is at work, and that the foundations are being established for the achievement of long-term goals.
Well the good thing is the enemies believe the highly trained strategist at work is Karl Rove.

Oh yes, I'm sure in less than three years, somehow he will explain how he and the Republican party had the Constitutional power to create more government handouts, programs, and general wastes of money than any President in the last 40 years. Conservatism will never return to the any part of the Republican party as long as articles like this continue to make excuses for the waste.

I don't see the challenge in creating bloated government programs and long winded promises with taxpayer dollars. JMO.

If the US can win the war on terror by the end of Bush`s term, or shortly thereafter, he will get the bulk of the credit and be vinticated for his tough leadership. The economy is vibrant and strong. It will recover from any downturn created by natural disasters like Katrina. And Bush may just position the GOP into dominating American elections for yaers to come. But I don't think many conservatives will stick around to see how things play out. Bush has spent like a big govt Republican, aka. liberal Republican. Welfare and entitlement spending has gone through the roof. The President and the GOP have expanded govt way beyond anything even remotely considered to be conservative policy agenda. Keeping the liberal Democrats out of office is a worthy goal. Spending like a liberal is not worthy of GOP efforts.
With 3yrs-4mths to go, Bush43 has a golden opportunity to step up and prove that he is a fiscal conservative on the spending side. If Bush doesn't make serious changes, he will go down in the record books as the biggest spending President in US history.... up until this point in time. That's not something I'd want on my record for eternity. Bush on the other hand .......

That the President is significantly smarter than the conservative talking heads has never been more obvious.
But then again, they talk for a living, and he works and thinks and does what is right. He sees the grand scheme and is lightyears ahead of them all....
Great article! THANKS!!

I'm not sure I agree with the article, but I can envision many inner-city and formerly Democratic voters willing to give the GOP a chance three years from now. Afterall, they've had forty years of promises and not much to show for it. Then, it's up to the GOP to lead their new constituents to conservatism, while guarding against the new members dragging them into liberalism.
Hopefully, the minorities in this country will see that their deal with the Democrats for political power has only taken them so far. The real power is economic power.
