The rest of the story would of been great to read. LOL! The Post wants too much personal info in order to read a story.

"Her diabetic dad couldn't leave and was rescued after five days, dead bodies floating in his face. His only chair, a rocking chair, destroyed in 8 feet of water."
Donna should have taken some of that consultant's money and bought her dad a backup chair. Only one chair? In a whole house? Come on.

I haven't registered for a site in years. :)
For instance, as one watches the Governors and Mayors of other states affected by these hurricanes and how they put into practice the emergency plans already in place, it becomes incontrovertibly clear that when all the assessments have been made, the Democratic Governor of Louisiana and the Democratic Mayor of New Orleans were and are the front lines of defense for their citizens. What they did or didn't do (that the Texas leaders are doing today) will become crystal clear. (For instance, buses might have been utilized to transport the people they knew were poor and helpless. Food and water could have been provided at the Super Dome in advance, etc., etc., etc.)
Donna Brazile knows how the system works, and she, who managed Gore's campaign, and after watching his bizarre behaviors since 2000, must thank God every day that her efforts did not make him her President for 9/11 or Katrina.
Give her a break!
Some on this site sound exactly like the illogical Bush-haters, and that is not an intelligent or smart way to approach any discussion!
There is no defender of conservatism as effective as a liberal who has been "mugged by reality." On the other hand, if hers is political rhetoric, it, too, will be revealed in time, and there will be plenty of time to say harsh things about her.
Hmm - who put up that casino instead of fixing the leevees? Hmm - who runs Louisiana and New Orleans?
