That last Vortex msg had a 132kt flight level wind, right?
GFS model now shows a Saturday morning hit (~ 7am EDT) slightly west of the TX-LA border. It then shows Rita moving inland about 60-80 miles and sitting there for the next 48 hours plus. That would be a horrible scenario for E Teaxs, but worse for W. Louisiana.

FOX, no news on direction of storm's path...I guess this one is difficult to say!! My bet is Rita is inching towards Louisiana...prayers lifted for Texas and Louisiana!
