That number would be zero. Galveston is known for a lot of things, but surfing is not one of them. {:o)

The only surfing going on down in Galveston are guys surfing on the wake of large cargo ships. I don't know if anyone caught that story on ESPN during Sports Center's 50 (states) in 50 (days).
