OK -- John Gibson just had some woman from TX DOT on who listed lots of interstates with all outgoing lanes -- so WHY are we seeing all these traffic jams and minimal traffic the other direction? DOT person said LE has to close ramps and make sure traffic inbound is stopped, etc, but BOY it would sure seem that such an effort would be on SOMEONE's to-do list! If I were in one of those cars stopped in a 14-hour traffic jam and quickly running out of gas I would be fuming.
Notes to self:
(1) find all non-interstate routes out of hometown to the hinterlands
(2)Get a GPS.

I heard John mention that too. I just wonder if they have their camera at a spot that it is not allowing traffic to flow out from incoming lanes???

Because Contraflow begins outside the city of Houston, where the Interstates narrow to two lanes in each direction. Most of the cameras they are showing on TV are in Houston proper.
