We had a tropical storm come in when we lived in Houston in the late 80's. It dropped 11" of rain on us, went up to East Texas, turned around, came back to Houston, and dropped another 12". Was that Allison?

We had a tropical storm come in when we lived in Houston in the late 80's. It dropped 11" of rain on us, went up to East Texas, turned around, came back to Houston, and dropped another 12". Was that Allison?

Allison was in 2001. Did a similar kind of dipsy-doodle and then stalled over Houston long enough to dump up to 40 inches of rain in places.

And then there was Allison in 1989 that did a dipsey-doodle and dumped a bunch of rain - but not as much as Allison.
