Or are you refering to the POINT IT COMES ON LAND as moving eastward? Two different things.

The projected point of landfall has moved 148.7 miles northeast since 4 pm yeaterday.
Houston "dodged a bullet".
On the current track, Rita will make landfall at the TX/LA border.
Don't take that to the bank, though, because the turn shows no sign of abating.
LA and Blanco are now on the hot seat.
Rita is still moving Northwest. If you have any data to back up this east movement I would like to see it.
I think the poster meant that since Rita is now moving less in the westward direction (as is clear with the sattelite images) then she is moving "more east". Think of it not as an absolute eastward direction but as a relative eastward direction. Hope that helps.
