Dearie, JFK was a bumbling idiot, usually high on Dr. Feelgood's cocktails, and such a "great" leader, there were so many strikes and Union problems under his presidency, that the country almost ground to a halt, every so often, and that's not even the worst of it. JFK was as much of a fool as Carter and instead of just "lusting in his heart", he lusted outright and everywhere.

You're either too young to have actually lived through that era, or you swallowed the propaganda whole.

You have NO idea, none at all, what the two terms of the Reagan presidency was. The mythography, which keeps getting posted to FR, is beyond ridiculous and bordering on idolatry. Reagan caved, many times, to the Dems and was even MORE friendly with them ( Can you say Tip O'Neil ? ), after hours, than President Bush has been; yet President Bush is castigated for that and Reagan put on a pedestal and gilded.

REAGAN GAVE BLANKET AMNESTY TO EVERY SINGLE ILLEGAL ALIEN !

REAGAN RAISED TAXES AND WAS NO FISCAL CONSERVATIVE.

REAGAN CONTINUALLY PRAISED FDR WITH UNALLOYED AND UNABATED ARDOR.

Gee, emotion over acts and substance, really dazzles you; doesn't it? I bet you just LOVED Slick Willie's speeches too. Do you enjoy Hitler's stirring speeches as well?

President Reagan was a good president, but he wasn't anything at all like you and the other's here, who have either no memory of him, ore just enjoy parroting the mythography attest he was. If FR had been around back then, you would be one of THE loudest and nastiest of Reagan's detractors.

"You have NO idea, none at all, what the two terms of the Reagan presidency was...."Lol, I don't? (Funny, I don't remember being a fetus.)

" The mythography, which keeps getting posted to FR, is beyond ridiculous and bordering on idolatry. Firstly, put on your Thinking-Cap and go waaay back...back to a time when Jimmy Carter was President and amidst of destroying the country in a mere 4 years...

...Now let me also remind YOU (lest you happened to be ensconced down a missile silo or Mars colony at the time) that Ronald Reagan took a country in economic tatters and teetering in self-doubt with low national and military morale, and personally elevated by its boot-straps.

He then proceded to jack up the economy and create an economic boom; forced the USSR and Gorby to back down at Oslo and thus accelerate the Berlin Wall's demise; reignited national pride in America and rebuilt the military; and seduced a bunch of Democrats to vote HIS way -- with conservatives.

Quite frankly, Reagan's legacy only grows in stature given his accomplishments at the time.

But again -- THE point?

Your claim: "President Bush IS Reagan's equal" is comical.
