To me it only shows that in fact the general population does lean toward the left.

I'm not sure we can or will. Maybe its just the lifecycle of a successful empire. (Look at Rome).

Somewhere here the other day though someone had a good point: Wholesale "voucheriziation" of the school system would be a good start. Hoepefully, people would select schools heavy in education and light in indoctrination.

Then... 'ya just have to wait a generation or two.
