It's not a lie. You just can't admit you've had one good thing to say about Bush, and you spent all Thursday night of Bush's speech being critical of FEMA, and Bush, neglecting to even bring up the fact that most of the incompetence and "ball dropping" came at the local level. If anyone was "on the ball" it was Bush and former FEMA director Michael Brown. There were plenty of FReepers, you included, critical of Brown's leadership because the media and Democrats led the charge to blame him. FEMA is not a first responder.
Another lie. I never blamed Brown for anything. In fact I have been the one making the case that FEMA is not a first responder. Bush should have been making the same case in the aftermath rather than just accepting blame and trying to fix it by growing the federal government.
