This is a common war tactic in the Middle East. Both Iraq and Iran used civilians as human shields in the 8 year war between Iraq and Iran.
We should come home and allow them to destroy themselves. Arab countries are unable to govern themselves and are almost ungovernable.

Well read, sir. They did indeed have plunder as incentive - it often made the difference between surviving a harsh winter or not. My screen name, though, merely reflects a man who reported on the incremental downfall of his nation at the hands of insurgent barbarians.
