Jihad Cindy missed today's moving Wall Street Journal editorial by Iraqi President Jalal Talabani thanking America for its troops sacrifices and asking us to help defend the world's new democracy from the fascists who make war on their own people. But that apparently means nothing to Jihad Cindy and the Left. The fact the Iraqis want our troops to stay til they can defend themselves is taken by the moonbats as evidence of their perfidy. Then again its not every day when we see a freely elected government condemned as a monster. Methinks Jihad Cindy should go look in the mirror.
(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".) Before the Iraq war all we heard from our one party media was how we heartlessly abandonned the Iraqis after the Gulf War. How they were mercilessly slaughtered by Saddam's bravos.
The media wanted guarantees that we wouldn't abandon the Iraqis again. And, of course, constantly suggested that we would--and therefore the Iraqis should never support us.
But that's the media's job. Always side against America. It says so in the Constitution--they say.
