"Matthew Fox developed the theology of Creation Spirituality as a way to integrate the wisdom of western spirituality and global indigenous cultures with the emerging scientific understanding of the universe and the creativity of art. Creation Spirituality has its roots in the earliest formulations of the Judeo-Christian wisdom tradition, celebrated by the mystics of this tradition ever since, especially in medieval Europe. Creation Spirituality thus provides a holistic perspective from which to address the critical issues of our times, including the revitalization of religion and culture, the honoring of the feminine, the celebration of hope, the promotion of social and ecological justice, and the promotion of interfaith understanding.
