I too am staying in Sugar Land. My wife, daughter and mother in law who lives nearby, along with my wife's younger sister and her husband are leaving for Ft Worth tomorrow morning. They just found three rooms at one place so there must be others in the area.
I'm staying and my 22 year old son insists he is staying with me, so I may have to drug him and load him in the car. I have everything I will need for about ten days, other than power. If the roof goes, well it has been nice knowing y'all.
Good luck all y'all.........

Why are you staying?
My dad said he was worried about leaving the house, and I said that frankly I couldn't imagine a whole lot of looting going on in Quail freakin' Valley.

What area of Sugar Land? If worse comes to worse, we can all hook up together.

Well, HC, we're going to have tales to tell when this is over. Most of my co-workers are evacuating and it's anybody's guess when the office will open again.
I just can't imagine what a hellhole this will be after the storm. It's 98 degrees right now and that's how hot the house will be after we lose power. Unfortunately, I expect it will have new ventilation holes and plenty of places for mosquitoes to enter.
