In Dallas area now... It took about 10 1/2 hrs to cover some 350 miles....... not to bad based upon what the Houston folks were having to deal with. It was stop and go with a lot of sitting the first 50 miles [4 1/2 hrs] or so but then smoothed out.

Looks like we did the right thing based upon the current projected land fall.... You can never know for sure with these things until the final come ashore....

Anyway good luck to all and stay safe. Looks like the Houston area may have dodged a bullet this time or at least will be much better than originally thought.

Does this mean that Rita is bypassing Houston. Any idea what the projected path is?
