I know my niece went to the grocery store and she said it was empty.

Yeah, it has gotten a little out of hand. Cannot find water, flashlights, batteries, gas cans bigger than 1 gallon, and most nonperishable food items. Most people living here today have probably never lived through more than a tropical storm let alone a Category 4 or 5 hurricane.

If you niece isn't loving on campus, going to Waco wouldn't be a bad idea. If she is in the dorms, she'll be okay. A&M is already prepared to take care of all on campus students and the dorms are mostly built of brick and/or concrete.

She's in an apartment. That's what has me concerned. She is in a sorority, and maybe the sorority house will be a little more prepared.

Let's just hope she gets out of town soon.
