Hey, texianyankee, we are in College Station, too. We're out Hwy 6 towards Navasota in the Nantucket subdivision. We are staying here.

I just convinced my DH to come home and help me move the outdoor furniture, etc. inside. He thinks I am overreacting. I'm still not sure what we will do with his canoe and boat.

My main concern is the huge internet tower that is attached to the back of our house. I am really afraid that that thing could snap off and come crashing through our roof. We don't use that service anymore but the dang thing is still there towering over our house.

Stay safe everyone!

Stay safe. You are just a wee bit south of us. We live in the southwest quadrant of FM 2818 & Hwy 6 in C.S.

I think if Rita hits anywhere north of Matagorda Bay we should be prepared to lose electrical power for a while.
Also, be on the lookout for tornadoes.

We have some fair size trees nearby and I dont like the thought of them getting knocked over.

My niece is alone at A&M. My sister-in-law is trying to get her to go to her aunts house in Waco. I know my niece went to the grocery store and she said it was empty.

Stay safe!
