If you are in the path of this storm, please sign in here, so that the rest of us can keep track of our "displaced" friends and family.
And when you return, remember to sign in, as we will be looking for you!
I am not sure, so let's ask somebody who might know.
What are your plans, bud?
Well Dang! Just call me "Stuck on Stupid"!! When I clicked on your name it said your account was banned - you are good even the colors are right. (in my defense I am tired)
God bless Texas.
Yes we have nine in addition to my wife and children. We are trying to coax 3 more up here, but they are stubborn. My nieces' husband stayed behind to help his parents. I am trying to tell them to come up here. We will be o.k. with 3 more. Or more than that if necessary.
I'm right here in Alvin. Still no plan to evacuate but that could change. Taking it one day at a time.
ROTFLOL! That;s my little handiwork...lol.
You are very kind.
He's here!
You need to be out of there. Do you have a place to go?
Checking in. We live in Cypress, TX (Fairfield subdivision, hwy 290 at Mason Road).
My parents and my sis are coming to stay with us. We're planning on riding it out.
Are you ears burning? We've been wanting to see you post!
You designed the house? It'll stand, it'll endure.
Get those tarps ready, friend.
Perhaps luck will be on our side again this time.
I'm way up in Killeen. I went to HEB, mainly to pick up a prescription, but also to get a few thing I really was out of, and to stock up in case my daughter's and their families choose to come up from Austin. Thought I'd get another 2.5 gallon of water, maybe a case of bottles, since I use 'em up 'cause the water here tastes like Shiite much of the time. They had a total of 4 20 oz bottles of water in the whole store. They even sold all the big office cooler size bottles. Not much bread left either. Everything else not too bad, canned stuff was pretty picked over. I got some tuna, since that's also something that I use and that will keep if I don't use it now. Because I had to stop somewhere else afterwords, I couldn't get anything that had to stay cool, but that stuff didn't seem to be very picked over. I'll get some tomorrow, and since the power here goes out in normal thunderstorms, I've checked to see that I have enough propane for few meals on the grill.
Based on some cell phone conversations I eavesdropped on, I'd say lots of folks were expecting visitors for the weekend. :)
That "stuck on stupid" still has me laughing! I love that guy.
BTW, do you know any places that are taking pets?
They're saying winds of 60-80 here in Bryan/College Station which shouldn't be too much of a problem. Heck, spring time thunderstorms do that. Power might go out but I think we'll be okay as long as a tornado doesn't show up. Also, B/CS doesn't tend to flood except in a few places.
Sorry I don't but local TV just said that all shelters in Huntsville are accepting pets.
Godspeed to everyone on the Gulf coast from Mesquite.
what about flooding??? I have a low car...i can't lose that too
