For the last three weeks
my brother and his wife were
vacationing in
Egypt [!] and Jordan.
He says they experienced
no anti-US
hatred, and Muslims
they met were friendly, just like
people they have met
all over the globe.
They came away convinced that
"activist" Muslims
are like "activist"
Westerners -- a small fringe group
that shouldn't be held
as spokespeople for
the larger population.
I was pretty shocked.
