A bunch of somebodies dropped the ball

And this is news? We all know somebody dropped the ball, starting with the man in the Oval Office who did nothing of any consequence to cope with the ongoing and growing threat. We all know that massive amounts of information were spread over countless intelligence operations. We all know about the wall.

After hearing Leahy's comments about the need to watch for abuses in the use of data mining, I'm quite happy the Pentagon sent up guys to say they follow all of the rules.

In March, 2000 or thereabouts; armed federal agents came to Orion Corporation to confiscate all data from Able Danger. Smith had some of the data in the trunk of his car (since it was unclassified) and that is the only reason it was preserved (presumably some of the charts, etc.)

Federal Agents!!! That would indicate the Justice Department was involvement, would it not?

Heads should have rolled... 3,000 innocents paid the price.... the same target was attacked before... reports of airliners to be used as bombs since 1995... an informant in the PI's spills the beans ...and still nothing is done? This was the bigggest intelligence failure since Pearl Harbor... You sure as hell shouldn't trust the same folks again.
