It's just stupid. They think the national debt is a credit card made out to the president. Unless you live in a bubble, every single person in this country contributes to the debt one way or another. The only thing America can realistically do at this point to curb the debt, without shooting our collective selves in the foot with all kinds of tariffs, is for congress to abolish the IRS, vote in HR25 and ease our foreign fuel dependency by seeking energy closer to home (ANWAR, Gulf, etc.) and starting a new Manhattan Project for alternative energy development like biomass, fusion, zero-point, etc.
