Ugh...how crappy. I've been on the receiving end of one of those emails from a "friend". Mine told me to save my email for "the mothers who's sons will die in this war, or better yet save it for when your husband's legs get blown off." This from a friend who's known my husband and I since we were all in junior high, and is prior military. They just don't get it.

I was just kidding. I recently had a friend, whom I thought I knew, start to quote Fahrenheit 911. He said it must all be true or they'd have MM thrown in jail for libel.

I have a friend who is a diehard union fool that I play racquetball with. He is so ignorant on current events and policies that I can't even bring up politics or finances or anything anymore. We meet, play racquetball then say goodbye till next time......

There are times in your life where you have to draw a line on friendships or forever keep your mouh shut.

No need to listen to this nutcase. He is getting all his info from the KKKs of the RAT party websites--The DUmmy underground (democRAT underground) and the Daily Kos. You also have to remember that many people hate this country and most liberals fit that category. In my experience, liberals are in a state of arrested mental development. They never grow out of the stage of being jealous of others, envious and undermining of hard-workers and their accomplishments, and an inability to ever accept personal responsibility.

There are several good articles here at FR from reputable newspapers - but you'll have to dig them out.

A couple of them tell the story of the environmentalists who SUED TO KEEP THE LEVEES FROM BEING FIXED.

If the guy wants to blame somebody .. he should at least have the facts. And .. just keep feeding the FACTS. Ignore the character issues. This person obviously believes repubs are horrible people. FACTS can help change that.

Also .. a few sentences from The Constitution which show that the FEDS don't have the right to just take over a state - it's the state's responsibility to ASK FOR HELP - which Blanco CLEARLY DID NOT DO.

Good luck .. you'll need it. But remember .. Rush has callers all the time who claim to have been just like this guy. The secret was they were overwhelmed with the truth and began to come to their senses.

And .. don't take it personal.
