With the computer generation many jobs have become redundant also and not just at NYT. Could be getting rid of a lot of long time employees who really are no longer needed. Sad but true reality.

But wait! These are people's jobs...everyone should have a job, whether they are needed or not.

Funny how the NYT seems to think socialism is a great concept except when it is their money at stake!

I feel bad for those losing their jobs, but I love seeing the NYT constricting, tightening, trying to stay relevant and viable.

Perhaps we will be able to see someday in our lives: "NYT to close doors..."

After that, we can start counting the days until the Boston Globe, Washington Post and LA Times follow that same path.

This is like "The 8th Sense" (of course, out of respect to "The Sixth Sense" where the kid sees dead people, and "The Seventh Sense" where he sees gay people) in "The Eighth Sense" he sees dead newspapers...they just don't know they are dead...
