I was trying to be nice. I remember a study that was done with families in poverty and indigent families. They had been given new homes and furnishings. Social workers returned over time and found that even with washing machines and conveniences for the maintenance of the property, the families were still living in squalor. Trash piled up and not removed outside the door, dirty laundry thrown all around and dirt and filth in the kitchen. It's behavioral

Yes it is behavioral and the only way out is to climb your way out. Well intentioned do gooders spending other people's money have never done anything but exacerbate the problem.

If we were able to equitably divide all material wealth between every man, woman and child in the world within weeks some would be poor and some would be rich.
