Ownership can be taught but must be learned. I know people who don't even own their attitude because they feel they have no control, (victimentality). If you can't own your attitude, you are less than human.

There is a whole class of 'poor' who CANNOT govern themselves or their mouths. I saw some of them on the news immediately after the storm passed. Somehow, they had to cast filth into the microphone, for SOMETHING! If you don't discipline yourself or make demands on yourself in everyday life, how WOULD you deal with adversity which is going to demand even more from you? Perfectly able bodied people with literally days of warning, permitted themselves to be trapped in the city and were now going to spew filth to any one who would listen. I was disgusted. Where was that anger and impatience when the storm was barreling down on them and their officials were not at hand with answers for their safety? Why wait till AFTER THE FACT to show me your temper and to criticize the fed and FEMA in their very worthy efforts? Get real!
