I suppose I'll stay put until things fall apart, then fall back to the Elgin place.
If I had pets or family my attitude might be different.
If it gets to looking like we are going to get whacked, I'll
have to sandbag Mom's back patio and possibly take possession
of the psycho cats while she quarters to the North before I fall back.
Still watching the progress.
Two words of advice.
1) Be careful finding shelter. The Katrina gang has used up a lot of our available space this way (Central Texas).
2) Avoid the rush and buy a gas-powered chainsaw. You'll be glad you did once you see the partially downed limbs that will be in the yards and no electricity.
If pressed, I could house up to two FReepers for an overnighter if you don't mind sleeping with my parrot (no smokers or law-breaking liberaltarians please). My apartment has a sofa that folds out into a queen bed.
