A judge last fall denied John Hinckley Jr.'s request, citing a continuing relationship with a former girlfriend.

Seems to me I read that the parents no longer reside in the DC area. Anyone have the details about this?

Call me selfish and judgmental, but I don't want this nut job anywhere near my area (Tidewater VA).

Why don't we let Son of Sam, Charles Manson and the Unabomber out to go to Taco Bell and Wendy's while we're at it?

I imagine Sirhan Sirhan wants to be released to see his folks, too.
Wonder what the chances of that are.
To: DogBarkTree
Well, it's not like he can shoot President Reagan again.

The only thing I recall about this nut job is that he and his parents used to live in Evergreen Colorado and I'm not even 100% sure of that.

His parents can visit him in the laughing academy. No need to let him out. Case closed.

That sob should never see the light of day again. It's a disgrace. I'm at a loss for words.
I skimmed the article b/c reading the whole thing would set me off.

The man who tried to kill President Reagan should be kept in solitaary confinment for the rest of his life. He should be given no books, TV or anything else to help pass the time.
He should spend his time sitting on a stool in the dark thinking about the monsterous act he attempted.
To: DogBarkTree
aren't his parents acquaintances of the Bushes?
